What is a Security Phishing Code for emails?

Summary

A Security Phishing Code is a short code you set in your Cryptonow account. This code appears in every genuine Cryptonow email, so you can be sure the message really comes from us. It’s a simple but effective way to protect yourself against phishing attacks.

Email scams are one of the most common ways criminals try to trick people into sharing sensitive information. The Security Phishing Code makes it easy for you to verify that an email truly comes from Cryptonow.

How it works

  • You choose your own 4–6 digit code in your account settings.

  • This code will then appear in the footer all official Cryptonow emails.

  • If you receive an email without your code, or with an incorrect one, it is not from Cryptonow.

Why it matters

  • Phishing emails often look real, but the Security Code helps you identify fakes instantly.

  • This protects you from giving away sensitive information like your password or private key.

  • Similar methods are also used by banks and insurance companies to verify their communications.

In short

The Security Phishing Code adds an extra layer of trust to every Cryptonow email. By checking your personal code, you can be sure you are communicating with Cryptonow — and not with fraudsters.
