What is two-factor authentication?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection to your Cryptonow account. In addition to your password, you’ll need a unique code from an authentication app on your smartphone. This makes it much harder for anyone else to access your account — even if they know your password.
Online security is at the core of Cryptonow. 2FA is one of the simplest and most effective ways to keep your account safe. By requiring both your password and a one-time code, it ensures that only you can log in, even if your login details were compromised somewhere else.
How it works
When 2FA is enabled, the login process includes one additional step:
Log in with your email and password.
You’ll then be asked for a 6-digit code.
This code is generated by an authentication app on your smartphone (e.g., Google Authenticator or Authy).
The code changes every 30 seconds and can only be used once.
Without both your password and the code, access to your account is not possible.

Why 2FA matters
Protects your account: Prevents unauthorized access, even if your password is leaked.
Reduces risks: Helps safeguard against phishing, malware, and credential theft.
Puts you in control: Only someone with both your password and your phone can log in.
Important information
The 2FA code is unique and generated locally on your phone — Cryptonow cannot access or recover it for you.
If you lose access to your authentication app, you’ll need to reset 2FA through Cryptonow Support after verifying your identity.
Make sure your phone’s time and date are set correctly to avoid code mismatches.
In short
Two-factor authentication makes your Cryptonow account significantly more secure. By combining your password with a time-based verification code, you’re taking one of the best steps to protect your assets.
