What should I do if my deposit fails?

Summary

A failed deposit can happen, if transfer details were incorrect or if the transaction could not be processed. In most cases, the issue can be resolved by checking your details and trying again.

Deposits may fail for both fiat and crypto transactions. For fiat, incorrect IBAN, or a missing reference number are common reasons. For crypto, deposits can fail if the wrong blockchain or wallet address was used or when additional compliance information are missing. In rare cases, technical issues or security checks may also cause deposits to fail.

Common reasons for failed deposits

Fiat deposits (SEPA):

  • Missing or incorrect reference number

  • Wrong IBAN details

  • Payment from a third-party account

Crypto deposits:

  • Sent to the wrong blockchain destination address

  • Sent on an unsupported network

  • Technical issues or service interruptions

  • Missing or outstanding compliance information

What to do

  1. Double-check the details you entered (IBAN, payment reference number, wallet destination address, network).

  2. Verify that the deposit was made from your own bank account or wallet.

  3. Wait the expected processing time (e.g. SEPA 1–2 business days, Bitcoin 10 min – serval hours).

  4. If the deposit still fails, contact your bank (for fiat) or check the blockchain explorer (for crypto).

  5. Reach out to Cryptonow Support with the transaction details if the issue remains unresolved.
